Job summary

Black & Veatch Family of Companies is seeking a lineman helper to assist in installing and repairing cables and wires for electrical power and distribution systems. The role involves following plans and industry standards, and may include erecting poles and assisting with transmission towers.

You will work with hand and power tools, climb poles or use bucket trucks, and travel to job sites to support line work.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1000 proven hours working as a lineman or helper in the lineman craft.
• Ability to understand and follow directions; must have all necessary tools as listed.

Responsibilities

• Use hand and power tools to measure, cut, assemble, install, test or repair cables or wires per plans.
• Maintain, inspect, test, and repair electrical distribution systems and related equipment.
• Climb poles or use bucket trucks to access equipment; coordinate with team on job completion.
