American Electric Power (AEP) Belmont Office in St. Clairsville, OH is seeking a Line Servicer to install, maintain, and troubleshoot transmission and distribution facilities, both overhead and underground, including meters and services.

Requires a high school diploma or GED, at least 2 years as Line Mechanic A or Lineman A, a valid Class A CDL, and the ability to pass a physical assessment. Willingness to relocate within 30 miles of the Belmont Office is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years as Line Mechanic A or Lineman A or equivalent.
• Must be able to demonstrate qualifications as Lineman A or equivalent.
• A physical abilities assessment is required.
• Valid Class A CDL is required.

Responsabilités

• Perform installation, rearrangement, maintenance, operation, removal and inspection of electrical transmission and distribution facilities.
• Provide first response to trouble calls; investigate, correct and clear trouble.
• Inspect lines; locate, clear and repair faults on lines and equipment.
• Coordinate circuit switching and restoration after trouble calls.
• Interface with emergency forces for safe trouble call restoration.
