American Electric Power (AEP) is seeking a Line Mechanic C to join our team in South Point, Ohio. The role involves installation, maintenance and inspection of transmission and distribution facilities, including overhead and underground lines.

Candidates progress from C to B to A with increasing responsibility and must be able to perform work on energized lines under supervision as skill dictates. The position requires a High School diploma or GED, valid Class A CDL, and relevant line work

Responsabilidades

• Assemble, install, maintain, remove and inspect overhead and underground facilities including conductors, cables, transformers and structures.
• Use volt meters, amp meters, ground meggers and other electrical test equipment.
• Conduct proper tagging procedures while performing switching of energized circuits.
