Culinary Khancepts is seeking a Line/Prep Cook in the Houston, TX area to support an elevated dining program. You will prepare fresh ingredients, execute dishes with consistency, and maintain presentation and cleanliness in a fast-paced kitchen.

Qualifications

• Handle high volume shifts efficiently and effectively.
• Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
• Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
• Familiar with industry best practices.
• Aptitude for multi-tasking.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift at least 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
• Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, sauces).
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
• Follow executive or sous chef’s instructions.
• Clean up station and handle leftovers.
• Stock inventory appropriately.
• Ensure food comes out high quality, timely, and coordinated.
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
