Job summary

Culinary Khancepts in Houston is seeking a Line / Prep Cook to join a fast‑paced kitchen team. You will set up stations, prep ingredients, and execute dishes with consistency and strong presentation.

You’ll work closely with the culinary staff to maintain cleanliness, organization, and efficiency while delivering hospitality to guests at Star Cinema Grill and related venues. High‑volume cooking experience and a Food Safety certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Handle high volume shifts efficiently and effectively.
• Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
• Certified in Food Safety.
• Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
• Familiar with industry’s best practices.
• Aptitude for multi‑tasking.
• Able to stand for extended periods of time and lift a minimum of 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
• Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces).
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
• Answer, report, and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions.
• Clean up station and take care of leftover food.
• Stock inventory appropriately.
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion.
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
