Job summary

State Fare Kitchen & Bar, part of Culinary Khancepts, is seeking a line cook to join a Houston-area, multi-concept hospitality group. You will plate dishes, perform basic prep, and support a fast-paced kitchen focused on bold Texas-inspired flavors and timely service.

You will set up stations, cook with the team, follow lead chefs, and ensure cleanliness and stock. Growth opportunities and employee discounts are available in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle high-volume kitchen demand.
• Solid knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
• Demonstrated accuracy and speed in completing tasks.
• Aptitude for multitasking in a fast-paced kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
• Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, sauces).
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
• Follow executive or sous chef’s instructions.
• Clean up station and manage leftovers.
• Stock inventory appropriately.
• Ensure food comes out high quality, on time.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude with coworkers and customers.
