Job summary

Culinary Khancepts is seeking a dedicated Line/Prep Cook for Star Cinema Grill in Houston. You will prep ingredients, support the culinary team, and maintain high quality presentation in a fast-paced kitchen.

Ideal candidates excel in high-volume environments, have food safety certification, and can stand for long periods while lifting up to 25 lbs. Flexible schedules and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Must handle high-volume shifts efficiently and effectively.
• Strong understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure.
• Aptitude for multi-tasking in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift at least 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
• Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
• Answer, report, and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions
• Clean up station and take care of leftover food
• Stock inventory appropriately
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
