Job summary

Culinary Khancepts, a Houston-based multi-concept hospitality and entertainment group including Star Cinema Grill, is seeking a Line / Prep Cook. You will join a fast-paced kitchen, contributing to elevated dining through precise prep, quality ingredients, and consistent presentation.

In this role you’ll set up stations, prepare ingredients, and assist chefs to ensure meals are cooked to the highest standards while maintaining cleanliness and organization in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Must understand high-volume cooking and safety practices.
• Experience handling high-volume shifts efficiently.
• Ability to follow executive or sous chef instructions.
• Familiar with industry best practices.
• Certified in Food Safety and hygiene standards.
• Able to multitask with accuracy and speed.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
• Prepare food for service (e.g., chopping vegetables, butchering meat, sauces).
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the kitchen staff.
• Answer, report, and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions.
• Clean up station and manage leftover food.
• Stock inventory appropriately.
• Ensure food comes out high quality, timely, and in sync with orders.
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
