Job summary

Jabil, a global manufacturing and engineering leader, is seeking a Line Lead to oversee a production line, ensure quality, and meet targets. You will lead operators, troubleshoot issues, and uphold safety.

You will collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and quality teams, supervise training, monitor performance metrics, and drive continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced environment. This role may require shift flexibility and a hands-on leadership approach.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree in a technical field preferred.
• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced production setting.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control principles, and safety regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and production schedules.
• Proficiency in using basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends, and overtime, as required.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of production operators, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
• Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with established procedures, quality specifications, and production schedules.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, equipment malfunctions, and material flow problems promptly to minimize downtime.
• Conduct regular quality checks and inspections of products to ensure they meet Jabil’s high standards.
• Maintain accurate production records, including output, scrap rates, and downtime.
• Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and quality assurance teams to optimize production processes and address systemic issues.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices.
• Train new operators on line procedures, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
• Communicate production status, concerns, and achievements to management.
