Job summary

Jabil in the United States is seeking a Manufacturing Lead to guide a group of production operators to meet quality, schedule, yield and productivity targets.

You will support the Manufacturing Supervisor, drive line efficiency, train operators, monitor hourly status, and ensure CIQ system is properly applied on the line.

This role emphasizes strong communication with management and hands-on coaching to maximize throughput and adherence to procedures.

Qualifications

• Ability to present information to managers, clients and the public.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to operate a PC with Windows OS and related software.
• Advanced PC skills and knowledge of Jabil’s software packages.
• Ability to write simple correspondence and read visual aids.
• Ability to follow simple one- or two-step instructions.
• Ability to work with standard procedures and limited variables.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos.

Responsibilities

• Assist Manufacturing Supervisor in line management to drive utilization and efficiency with minimal downtime.
• Highlight high fallout to Manufacturing Supervisor.
• Achieve daily production standards.
• Identify and develop operators to improve throughput, quality and efficiency.
• Guide and assist operators in required skills.
• Monitor hourly production status.
• Monitor CIQ system implementation and ensure standards are met.
• Serve as a communication link between operators and management.
