Job summary

Carvana in Plainfield, IN is seeking a Line Lead Supervisor to directly manage and develop a team of hourly associates in an Inspection Center, driving production targets across multi-stage lines. You will oversee safety, quality, and continuous improvement, coordinating workflow from initial assembly to final finishing, while mentoring technicians and specialists.

Qualifications

• Must have supervisory/lead experience in a high-volume manufacturing/production environment.
• LEAN manufacturing experience with knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma, Kanban and waste reduction.

Responsibilities

• Production Line Management: coordinate and oversee daily operations across multi-stage production lines, ensuring safety, efficiency, and daily output targets are met.
• Cross-Functional Workflow: manage the movement of automotive inventory through production phases from initial assembly to final finishing and quality inspection.
• Team Leadership: lead, train, and mentor technicians, operators, and specialists across multiple workstations, fostering high performance and accountability.
• Quality Control & Finishing: enforce rigorous quality assurance standards before final documentation and release.
• Process Optimization: monitor pipelines to identify bottlenecks, optimize material staging, and streamline transitions between zones.
• Continuous Improvement: participate in process improvements, workflow standardizations, and root-cause problem solving on the floor.
