Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Line Lead Supervisor at its Inspection Center in New York for direct supervision of hourly associates and ongoing production targets. You will manage multi-stage lines, ensure safety, and drive quality across the reconditioning workflow, including training and coaching of technicians.

The role emphasizes LEAN practices, flexibility for overtime and weekends, and a hands-on leadership style to sustain high performance in a fast-paced environment at the Carvana site.

Qualifications

• Proven supervisory or lead experience within a high-volume manufacturing, production, or assembly environment.
• LEAN Manufacturing Experience: knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma, Kanban with ability to identify waste and implement improvements on the floor.
• Experience overseeing diverse operational processes, including mechanical assembly, inventory handling, and finishing stages.

Responsibilities

• Production Line Management: coordinate and oversee daily operations across multi-stage production lines, ensuring safety, efficiency and targets.
• Cross-Functional Workflow: manage movement of automotive inventory and materials through production phases from assembly to final inspection.
• Team Leadership: lead, train and mentor technicians and operators across workstations, fostering high performance.
• Quality Control & Finishing: enforce QA standards to meet exact aesthetic, structural and functional specs before release.
• Process Optimization: monitor pipelines, identify bottlenecks, optimize material staging, and streamline transitions.
• Continuous Improvement: participate in process improvements and standardization on the floor.
