Job summary

Jekyll Island Club Resort, a Noble House Resort, is seeking a Line Cook to join its culinary team on Jekyll Island, GA. You will prepare, cook, and plate high-quality menu items while adhering to recipes, timelines, and presentation standards.

Work alongside Chefs de Partie and Sous Chefs to maintain safety, cleanliness, and efficiency, assist with opening/closing duties, and support other stations as needed in a vibrant island resort setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in a professional kitchen preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and portion controls.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the station.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Set up and maintain assigned workstations with necessary ingredients and equipment.
• Follow proper food preparation techniques (grilling, sautéing, baking, etc.).
• Ensure timely food preparation while maintaining quality and consistency.
• Communicate with other kitchen stations and culinary leadership to support smooth operations.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization.
• Monitor food products and inventory, communicating needs to leadership.
• Label, date, rotate, and store food to prevent spoilage.
• Minimize food waste through proper prep and storage.
• Assist with receiving, stocking, and rotating products and supplies.
• Complete opening/closing and side-work responsibilities as assigned.
• Assist other stations as needed.
