Job summary

The Jekyll Island Club Resort invites experienced culinary professionals to join our high-volume kitchen as an H-2B Cook. You will prepare and cook high-quality meals following established recipes while collaborating with our culinary leadership to ensure consistency across outlets.

This role requires flexibility to work AM/PM shifts, weekends, and holidays in a scenic Georgia setting on Jekyll Island, with competitive pay, tips, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume kitchen environments.
• Ability to work AM/PM shifts, weekends & holidays.
• Strong teamwork, attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, season, and cook a variety of menu items according to established recipes and resort standards.
• Operate kitchen equipment (grills, ovens, fryers, broilers, etc.).
• Set up and maintain clean, organized cooking stations before, during, and after service.
• Ensure proper food preparation, temperatures, portions, and presentation.
• Maintain sanitary workstations compliant with food safety standards.
• Label, rotate, and store food products as per procedures.
• Monitor quality and freshness to minimize waste.
• Assist with food prep for restaurant dining, banquets, and events.
• Communicate effectively with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
• Follow all kitchen safety and sanitation procedures.
