Job summary

Oak View Group in Saint Charles, MO, is seeking a Line Cook to prepare hot and cold dishes for guests at the Saint Charles Convention Center. You will work in a buffet line and in kitchen stations, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality food for events and daily service.

The position offers an hourly rate of $23.00-$25.00 and is part-time, with benefits including a 401(k) savings plan and matching. The venue is a premier, award-winning facility managed by OVG.

Qualifications

• Previous cook or prep cook experience highly preferred.
• Able to operate standard kitchen equipment, including the broiler, steamer, convection oven, mixer, meat slicer, and chef knife.
• Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests in a clear, business-like, and respectful manner.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, fresh food for guests in a timely manner.
• Prepare hot and cold foods following recipes and portioning requirements.
• Work as part of a team to ensure excellent service and delivery of products.
• Report maintenance needs for kitchen equipment.
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards in work areas.
• Observe and test foods to ensure proper cooking.
• Portion, arrange, and garnish plates for delivery to guests.
• Consult with Executive Chef/Sous Chef to plan menus and estimate consumption.
• Demonstrate attendance standards.
