Job summary

Tiki Taco is seeking an experienced Cook to join our team and prepare a variety of dishes for restaurant guests to enjoy. You will be delivering high-quality, flavorful meals in a fast-paced environment with a focus on consistency and teamwork.

The ideal candidate has prior restaurant cook experience and holds or is willing to obtain ServeSafe or Food Handler certification, along with strong communication skills and the stamina to stand for long shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience as a restaurant cook is required or preferred.
• ServeSafe or Food Handler Certification (or willingness to attain)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to lift 30+ lbs and stand for long periods (8+ hours)

Responsibilities

• Inspect and clean food prep areas and surfaces to maintain safety and sanitation.
• Ensure freshness by checking quality, rotating stock, and monitoring items.
• Regulate oven, broiler, grill, and roaster temperatures to ensure proper cooking.
• Season and cook dishes according to recipes or judgement to ensure flavor.
• Respond to guest feedback with urgency and professionalism.

We are looking for an experienced Cook to join our team! You will be preparing and cooking a variety of dishes for restaurant guests to enjoy.

You are passionate about creating exceptional dining experiences through good, quality food. With previous experience as a cook, you are able to manage multiple priorities and contribute to a friendly and productive team atmosphere. Ideally, you have your ServeSafe or Food Handler's certification.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices
• Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock
• Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperature by regulating the temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters
• Season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience
• Respond to guest feedback with appropriate urgency and professionalism

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a restaurant cook preferred
