Job summary

Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront Resort is seeking a dedicated kitchen professional to prepare high-quality menu items in accordance with recipes and standards. You will support line cooks, ensure proper food handling, and maintain a clean, efficient station on a fast-paced oceanfront property.

Responsibilities include stocking, rotating perishables, and assisting with cost controls. Strong communication and dexterity are essential for success in this team-oriented role at our Virginia Beach

Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and standards, per servers' checks.
• Start food items ahead of time, avoiding over-preparation.
• Date and rotate perishables; check pars and stock levels.
• Keep buffet stocked and clean; cover/date perishables as needed.
• Assist in controlling food costs and reducing waste as per standards.
• Operate, maintain and clean kitchen equipment including fryers, stoves, ovens and steam tables.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
