HEI Hotels & Resorts seeks a Kitchen/Line Cook for the Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront Resort on the Virginia Beach boardwalk. Prepare food to standard recipes and assist with station setup and service.

Qualifications

• Experience in a professional kitchen is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow recipes.
• Strong communication with team and servers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and standards.
• Initiate prep for items ahead of time and manage portions.
• Date, rotate and store perishables per standards; maintain proper temperatures.
• Check pars for shift use and identify shortages or overages.
• Keep buffet stocked and ensure timely service.
• Return unused items to storage with date and proper labeling.
• Assist in controlling food costs and minimizing waste.
• Operate and clean kitchen equipment (fryers, ovens, mixers, slicers, etc.).
• Adhere to attendance rules and be available regularly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
