Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts, owner of the Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront Resort, is seeking a cook to prepare food of consistent quality and support daily kitchen operations.

You will follow recipes, manage station setup, handle equipment, and collaborate with servers. This hourly role includes competitive pay and comprehensive benefits, with growth opportunities within the Cavalier Resort campus.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Finger/hand dexterity to operate food machinery.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 100 lbs on a continuous basis.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt communication style for different audiences.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food of consistent quality following recipes and standards.
• Start items prepared ahead of time and manage portions.
• Rotate perishables and maintain proper temperatures.
• Set up station, check pars, and plan for shortages.
• Operate, clean and maintain kitchen equipment.
• Adhere to attendance rules and perform other duties as assigned.
