HEI Hotels & Resorts, managing Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront Resort, is seeking a Kitchen position to prepare food to spec and support daily culinary operations. You will follow recipes, maintain quality, and assist in planning shift tasks.

The role requires dexterity, the ability to lift up to 100 lbs, and strong verbal and written communication. It is a full-time, on-site kitchen role with opportunities for growth within our hospitality portfolio.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Dexterity to operate food machinery with or without accommodation.
• Able to lift up to 100 lbs with/without accommodation.
• Effective verbal communication skills.
• Effective written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food of consistent quality following recipes and standards.
• Start items prepared ahead of time and avoid over-prepping.
• Rotate perishables and keep at proper temperatures.
• Check pars, prep needs, and line setup.
• Note out-of-stock items or shortages.
• Keep buffet stocked and accessible.
• Return unused items to storage with date and cover.
• Help control food costs and reduce waste per standards.
• Operate, maintain and clean kitchen equipment.
• Be reliable and available to work regularly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
