Omni La Mansion del Rio is recruiting a Line Cook 2 to join our bustling kitchen team in downtown San Antonio. You will prepare all menu items on a timely basis, collaborate with other kitchen staff, and maintain high standards of safety and presentation.

The ideal candidate brings at least 2 years of culinary experience in a hotel or restaurant setting, strong knife skills, and the ability to follow recipes under pressure.

Qualifications

• Requires at least 2 years of culinary experience in a hotel or restaurant kitchen.
• Able to work efficiently with minimal supervision and collaborate with others.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Basic math and measurement skills; able to follow recipes.
• Culinary degree and/or formal training strongly preferred; unexpired Food Handlers certificate or ability to obtain on hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all food items efficiently according to supervisor and menu specs.
• Demonstrate strong culinary fundamentals and techniques.
• Work on the outlet hot/cold line and manage timelines for service.
• Keep prep sheets and station guides organized and prepared for service.
• Safe use of culinary equipment and proper plating to specifications.
• Communicate effectively with team and maintain a positive attitude in pressure.
