Potawatomi Hotel & Casino in Milwaukee seeks an entry-level Cook 1 to support high-energy kitchen operations. You will perform basic to intermediate cooking tasks, assemble and present dishes, and maintain clean, safe work areas while adhering to safety standards.

The role requires flexible shifts, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work across kitchen stations. Training and advancement opportunities are available within a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 3 to 6 months of related cooking experience preferred.
• The ability to successfully achieve ServSafe certification within 90 days.
• The ability to successfully complete Culinary Academy within 12 months.
• The ability to maintain discretion in handling confidential information.
• The ability to interact with guests and team members professionally.
• The ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.

Mansioni

• Perform basic to intermediate food preparation and cooking duties, including washing, peeling, cutting and measuring ingredients; preparing salads and cold foods; fry, stock, and batch cook.
• Assemble, garnish, and finalize presentation of completed dishes.
• Use and clean kitchen surfaces, equipment, and utensils including ovens, grills, fryers, broilers, and knives.
• Maintain a safe, sanitary, and organized work environment, working closely with Stewards.
• Learn to perform more advanced kitchen duties and assist other culinary team members.
• Assist in storing and rotating inventories as needed.
• Perform opening and closing duties as needed.
• Work at other kitchens/venues as assigned based on business needs.
• Perform job duties in compliance with internal controls, policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
