Job summary

Potawatomi Casino | Hotel is hiring a RuYi Cook 1 to maintain food quality and guest satisfaction in a fast-paced, high-energy kitchen. You will perform basic to intermediate food preparation, assemble and present dishes, and ensure safe, sanitary operations while supporting a culinary team.

Requirements include a high school diploma (or equivalent), 3–6 months of cooking experience preferred, and the ability to obtain ServSafe within 90 days plus complete Culinary Academy within 12 months.

Qualifications

• 3–6 months of related cooking experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain ServSafe within 90 days.
• Ability to complete Culinary Academy within 12 months.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must interact professionally with guests and team.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic to intermediate food preparation and cooking duties, including washing, peeling, cutting, and measuring ingredients for use; preparing salads and cold foods; and fry, stock, and batch cooking.
• Assemble, garnish, and finalize presentation of completed dishes.
• Use and clean kitchen surfaces, equipment, and utensils including ovens, grills, fryers, broilers, and knives safely.
• Maintain a safe, sanitary, and organized work environment, working closely with Stewards at all times.
• Learn to perform more advanced kitchen and cooking duties, and assist other members of the culinary team.
• Assist in storing and rotating inventories as needed.
• Perform opening and closing duties as needed.
• Work at other kitchens/venues as assigned, based on business needs and to gain knowledge.
• Perform duties in compliance with internal controls, policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
