Job summary

The Bartolotta Restaurants in Milwaukee is seeking a Cook to join our acclaimed culinary team. You will follow senior chefs’ directions to prepare menu items, manage sauces, pastas, and grills, and maintain station readiness with a strong emphasis on quality and presentation.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in fast-paced, changing environment.
• Basic understanding of sanitation and safety regulations.
• Basic understanding of food-handling techniques, preparation, and cooking procedures.
• Ability to work efficiently and quickly.
• Team player and able to work under pressure.
• Maintain personal cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Prepares menu items according to standard recipes, plate presentations and specifications in a timely manner.
• Responsible for all sauces, pastas, and grilled food items.
• Sets up workstation according to station diagram and daily product inventory to Chef’s standards.
• Completes all assigned prep work to Chef’s standards.
• Maintains product presentation and quality and cook time standards.
• Cleans and sanitizes the work area during and after shift.
• Practices sanitary and safe food handling at all times.
• Performs side work as required.
• Assist other team members with unit stations and management as needed.
