Job summary

Soho House & Co in Portland, OR is seeking a Line Cook I to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly, execute prep and sauces, and assist Senior Chefs with service. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and help the team stay calm during busy periods while delivering top-quality dishes from all stations.

You will work across pantry, fry, and other stations, adhere to allergy requests and dish alterations, and participate in inventory to maintain sustainable food costs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years' experience in a fast pace, upscale environment.
• Strong understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills.
• Food handler's certificate.
• Flexible schedule (morning, night, weekends, holidays as needed).

Responsibilities

• Produce consistent, high-quality dishes on all kitchen stations.
• Prepare pantry, fry station and other items while respecting allergy requests and dish alterations.
• Assist with inventory to support sustainable food costs.
• Set up stations per guidelines and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
• Monitor wastage, temps and quality to control costs and uphold standards.
• Support senior chefs during service and post-service wrap-up.
