Job summary

Soho House in California is seeking a Line Cook I to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly, prepare food and sauces, and assist Senior Chefs during service. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and help keep the team calm during busy shifts.

A successful Line Cook I will execute all menu items from prep to plate across stations, contributing to consistent, high-quality dishes and a strong kitchen discipline that supports Soho House standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in a fast pace, upscale and approachable environment of professionals.
• Food handler’s certificate
• Strong communicator, collaborator and motivator with ability to build professional relationships with all leaders and kitchen team.
• Proactive, team-player who can work well independently as well as on a team.

Responsibilities

• Produce consistent and quality dishes across all stations in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Prepare items in pantry, fry station, and other kitchen areas while adhering to allergy requests and dish alterations.
• Assist with inventory to maintain sustainable food cost.
• Set up stations per Kitchen guidelines and maintain a safe, clean workspace.
• Monitor wastage, temps, quality; influence cost control and profitability.
