Soho House & Co. in Malibu, CA is seeking a Line Cook I to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly, preparing food and sauces, and supporting Senior Chefs during service. You thrive in fast-paced environments and help teammates stay calm under pressure.

You will execute menu items from prep to plate, contribute to time and quality control, and uphold Soho House standards across all stations, while advancing your culinary skills through the Cookhouse trainings.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in a fast pace, upscale environment.
• Strong understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills.
• Proven ability to execute all menu items and properly prepare and deliver top quality dishes on all stations.

Responsibilities

• Well-versed on all menu items and able to produce consistent dishes in fast-paced environments on all stations.
• Prepare food items in pantry, fry station, and other kitchen areas while adhering to allergy requests and dish alterations.
• Assist with inventory to support sustainable food costs.
• Set up stations according to Kitchen guidelines and maintain a safe, clean workspace.
• Monitor wastage and cooking temps to reduce costs and support profitability.
• Execute production and à-la-carte dishes, including family meals and weekend ideas.
• Delegate tasks and ensure proper procedures for clocking in and breaks.
• Support senior chefs with pre/post-service meetings.
