Nisqually Red Wind Casino is seeking an attentive Line Cook to craft flavorful dishes and uphold high quality in a fast-paced kitchen. You will follow recipes, maintain cleanliness, and ensure safe handling of food during every shift.

The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and the ability to work well under time constraints while contributing to guest satisfaction in a dynamic casino dining environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Food handlers permit.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment.
• Ability to meet or exceed our company’s core values.
• Able to work under time constraints to produce food according to established standards.
• Current knowledge of occupational safety issues.
• Ability to work productively.
• Ability to work unsupervised for a period of time.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to follow instructions and follow food preparation sheets.
• Possess a positive attitude and willingness to serve our guests.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Pass NRWC pre-employment testing.
• Ability to work peak business hours.
• Ability to obtain a Class II Gaming License.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items for production including soups, salads, appetizers, sandwiches, entrees, breakfast items and desserts according to recipes and standards.
• Maintain a sanitary workstation and cleanliness of equipment.
• Monitor food temperatures according to health and safety standards.
• Assist, as directed, to prepare food for banquet functions.
• Assist Sous Chefs in training new kitchen staff and supporting line cooks.
