Job summary

Valor Hospitality is seeking a culinary prep professional to assist in our hotel kitchen. Prepare dishes for guests and staff, maintain quality and appearance, and ensure safe, sanitary operations throughout daily shift.

You will work with pantry, fry stations, and other kitchen areas, following recipes and production standards while rotating perishables and assisting with buffet setup. English proficiency required for communications with team and guests.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Culinary certificate or degree preferred.
• 3–6 months in a food/beverage services environment or establishment.
• Strong knowledge of operating industrial sized ovens and cooking ranges.
• Knowledge of preparing different cuisines, relishes, soups and salads.
• Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills.
• Must read, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards, records and standards.
• Start items ahead of time and avoid over-preparation.
• Date and rotate perishables; maintain proper temperatures.
• Check pars, plan prep, and note shortages or excesses.
• Assist in buffet setup and keep stock on hand.
• Return unused items and store properly; assist with cost control.
