Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent literacy level.
• 6+ months in general kitchen operations and equipment handling.
• Current ServSafe Food Protection Manager certification.
• San Diego County food Handler Certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality meals by following recipes with consistent flavor and presentation.
• Adheres to health department codes, HACCP guidelines, and safety protocols.
• Uses calibrated thermometers to verify safe temperatures.
• Rotates dry and refrigerated goods using FIFO.
• Operates convection ovens, mixers, slicers, ranges and dishwashers.
• Collaborates with cooks and supervisors to manage peak service times.
• Serve meals with portion control and courteous service.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
