J. Alexander's Restaurant is seeking a Prep Cook for our contemporary American kitchen. The candidate will work in a fast-paced, scratch kitchen focused on high-quality food presentation and efficiency in a visible open-kitchen setting.

Must be 18+ to operate equipment; prior kitchen experience is preferred but not required. Flexibility to work various shifts is essential, with opportunities for growth within a company dedicated to professional development.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age to operate kitchen equipment.
• Previous kitchen / culinary / chef experience is preferred, but not required.
• Experience and knowledge of kitchen equipment including but not limited to knives, slicer, mixer, stoves, and ovens required.
• Flexible to work a variety of shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate in a fast-paced, scratch kitchen environment with emphasis on food presentation and execution.
• Maintain a clean, organized station and work area following sanitation protocols.
• Assist with opening duties and closing cleaning duties.
• Collaborate with assembler, expo, and management to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
