Firebirds Wood Fired Grill in Hoover, AL is seeking a Line Cook to join our Back of House team. You will help ensure fast, accurate, and consistent plates while maintaining a clean, safe workstation and supporting your teammates during busy service.

Qualifications

• Basic kitchen safety and sanitation knowledge.
• Able to perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Able to stand 8+ hours per day.
• Able to bend, kneel, and lift items up to 35 pounds.
• Guest-oriented mindset and patience.
• Maintain positive working relationships with all team members.
• Attention to cleanliness and safety procedures.
• Reliable transportation required.
• 18+ age requirement for BOH positions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items with speed, accuracy, and consistency.
• Set up, stock, and maintain your assigned station.
• Read and execute tickets accurately while meeting timing standards.
• Plate dishes with consistency and presentation.
• Monitor food temperatures and follow safety standards.
• Label, store, and rotate food items.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Support teammates and communicate during service.
• Complete closing and cleaning checklists as assigned.
