Job summary

PGA Primary Black 01 is seeking a dependable line cook to join our restaurant kitchen. You will prepare quality foods, follow recipes, manage timing, and keep stations clean and organized to ensure guest satisfaction.

The role requires 2–3 years of culinary experience, a strong work ethic, good communication, and the ability to lift up to 100 lbs. Florida Food Handlers certification is preferred to support safe food handling.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years prior culinary experience/hotel kitchen experience.
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
• Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Can communicate well with guests.
• Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player.
• Florida Food Handlers certificate.
• Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry up to 100 lbs continuously.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production/portion standards.
• Start items prepared ahead of time without over preparing needs.
• Date and rotate perishables, keep at proper temperatures.
• Assist in maintaining buffet stock and setting up for service.
• Rotate items to next shift and cover perishables with date labels.
• Help control food costs and reduce waste per standards.
• Operate and clean all kitchen equipment.
• Maintain regular attendance and flexible scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays.
