Job summary

The Marquesa Hotel in Old Town Key West is seeking a Line Cook to join Café Marquesa, our award-winning fine dining restaurant. The Line Cook will prepare and cook menu items to exact recipes while ensuring the station is clean and stocked to maintain exceptional service.

Prior restaurant cooking experience is required, with fine dining experience considered a plus. Benefits include health coverage, 401K, paid time off, and employee discounts across Noble House properties.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience in a restaurant; fine dining experience is a plus.
• Ability to maintain sanitation and health regulations.
• Follow recipes and yield guidelines when preparing all dishes.
• Prepare items for day by starting prep work and set up workstation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items to specific recipes.
• Set up and stock station with ingredients and supplies.
• Maintain and sanitize station throughout shift.
• Follow plating guidelines and yield per recipes.
• Notify Sous Chef of shortages and report to executive or sous chef.
• Ensure proper food handling, labeling, and storage.
• Complete closing procedures and wrap up at end of shift.
