Job summary

Parker Palm Springs is seeking a Cook to plan, prep, set up, and cook breakfast, lunch and dinner items in designated outlets, following standards and plating guides. You will maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment, and assist in recipe preparation as directed by the Sous Chef or Chef.

Responsibilities include preparing meats and fish, reading orders accurately, operating kitchen equipment safely, and ensuring proper storage and rotation of ingredients.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
• 1-2 years restaurant experience.
• Must have a high school education or GED.
• Two years experience in a fine dining restaurant or resort.
• Basic math functions.
• Culinary school preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prep, set-up, cook and provide quality service in food production across breakfast, lunch and dinner menus.
• Maintain organization, cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment.
• Prepare meat, fish, poultry and other items and read tickets carefully.
• Operate stoves, grills, fryers, broilers and other utensils safely to fulfill orders.
• Rotate and store food items properly and adhere to health regulations.
• Complete opening and closing duties and assist the Chef or Sous Chef as needed.
