Job summary

Hotel Paseo in Palm Desert is seeking a Cook I to prepare, cook, and plate all menu items while expediting orders accurately. You will mentor junior team members to meet standards, uphold sanitation, and maintain station readiness in a boutique luxury environment.

Your responsibilities include ensuring quality, portion control, and cleanliness, while working a varied schedule to support lunch and dinner service in a resort setting. Training and growth are available across Marcus Hotels & Resorts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of kitchen/cooking experience in a similar role.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare station-specific food items according to recipes, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Monitor product storage, portion sizes, and stocks and sauces.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization to meet Health Department regulations.
• Ensure equipment is clean, sanitized, and operational.
• Uphold high standards of food production and presentation.
• Maintain personal hygiene and sanitation practices.
• Manage station setup, breakdown, and prep work.
• Follow recipe specifications for all food preparation.
