Job summary

Twenty Four Seven Hotels in Palm Desert, CA is seeking a Cook I to support our kitchen outlets and uphold brand standards. You will prepare and plate items, maintain sanitation, stock prep areas, and coordinate with the Chef and servers to ensure timely, quality meals for guests.

Qualifications

• Experience in food preparation and kitchen sanitation.
• Ability to maintain inventory and assist in ordering.
• Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling.

Responsibilities

• Provide food service to guests as scheduled according to service standards.
• Set up, restock and maintain food prep areas.
• Monitor quality and consistency of all food from kitchen lines.
• Assist in presentation and portioning per SOPs.
• Ensure accurate and timely prep of daily menus and specials.
• Coordinate food orders between station and servers.
• Communicate daily with Chef/Manager about challenges or opportunities.
• Prepare items for daily use (stock, cheese, sauces, dressings).
• Follow sanitation procedures for safe food handling.
• Maintain inventory controls.
• Operate POS including cash, room charges and credit cards.
• Maintain Kitchen compliance in Guest Satisfaction Scores program.
• Assist department with safety equipment and emergency procedures.
• Complete monthly food inventory as needed.
• Be familiar with hotel facilities, location and hours.
