Job summary

Flagship Restaurant Group's Blue Sushi Sake Grill in Lincoln Park is seeking a Line Cook. Previous kitchen experience preferred but training is provided; you will set up and cook menu items to quality standards and support a smooth service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a professional kitchen is preferred but not required; training provided.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to read, write, and follow instructions effectively.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable with physical tasks including standing, bending, lifting, and walking.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion and is committed to food safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items to meet quality and presentation standards, ensuring consistency in every dish served.
• Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies for the shift, ensuring items are readily available for efficient cooking.
• Ensure all food safety and sanitation standards are followed, including proper handling, storage, and disposal of food.
• Assist in inventory management, including rotating stock and notifying management of any low inventory items.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all areas are sanitary and ready for use at all times.
• Work closely with other kitchen staff and team members to ensure smooth operations and timely food service.
