Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality operates the Hilton University of Florida Conference Center Gainesville, where a Line Cook is needed to support Shula's Steak House. The role focuses on food preparation, station setup, and line support for lunch and dinner services in a fast-paced hotel kitchen.

Qualifications

• Previous line cook or prep cook experience required.
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume kitchen environment.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients, cook, and assemble dishes according to recipes and chef specifications.
• Support lunch service operations for the hotel restaurant and banquet outlets as needed.
• Complete prep work for Shula’s dinner line and assist with opening line setup.
• Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely and consistent manner.
• Restock ingredients and maintain organized workstations to support smooth kitchen operations.
• Follow portion control standards and minimize waste to maintain food cost goals.
• Set up and clean stations according to restaurant and kitchen protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, tables, shelves, and prep areas.
• Comply with all sanitary, health, and personal hygiene standards.
• Monitor quality and freshness of ingredients and products.
• Assist with additional kitchen duties as assigned by the Line Supervisor, Sous Chef, or Executive Chef.
