Job summary

Church's Chicken is seeking a diligent cook to prepare and cook food products as specified by the Manager in Charge of the Shift, while adhering to the Church’s Operating Standards Manual (the “OSM”). Accomplishes tasks in a timely, clean and orderly manner.

You will set up batter tables, manage fryers, and ensure all food meets specifications and holding times. The position emphasizes safety, sanitation, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must follow the Operating Standards Manual (OSM) and Manager in Charge directions.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Attention to sanitation and safety procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Sets up batter table and prepares batter mix.
• Ensures call sheets are complete, posted and used.
• Checks equipment and reports malfunctions to the Manager in Charge.
• Maintains proper shortening levels for fryers and conducts fryer cleaning per guidelines.
• Prepares and cooks food as directed by the Manager in Charge.
• Maintains food quality and adheres to designated holding times.
• Maintains a clean work area and proper stock at the batter area.
• Performs additional tasks as assigned by the Manager in Charge.
