Job summary

Hilton Garden Inn Asheville South is seeking a dependable Line Cook to join our culinary team. In a fast-paced kitchen, you’ll help prepare quality meals while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.

You’ll work with the kitchen team to ensure timely service, follow recipes and brand standards, and rotate inventory while upholding food safety guidelines. Flexible availability including evenings and weekends is preferred, with opportunities for growth within our hospitality

Qualifications

• Previous line cook or restaurant experience preferred (minimum one year preferred).
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Dependable, motivated, and willing to learn.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and brand standards.
• Set up and stock workstations with the necessary ingredients and supplies.
• Wash, chop, portion, and prepare ingredients for service.
• Ensure food is cooked, plated, and served accurately and in a timely manner.
• Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area throughout each shift.
• Properly store food and rotate inventory using FIFO practices.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
• Assist with receiving deliveries and stocking inventory as needed.
• Complete opening, closing, and cleaning duties.
• Maintain a positive, professional attitude with guests and fellow team members.
