Job summary

Firebirds Wood Fired Grill in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Line Cook to join our Back of House team. You will prepare and cook menu items with speed and consistency, set up and stock your station, and read tickets accurately to meet timing standards.

You will plate dishes with care, monitor temperatures, follow safety standards, and maintain a clean, organized work area while supporting teammates during service. This role emphasizes guest-focused service and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Ability to work on your feet for 8 hours or more a day.
• Ability to bend, kneel, and lift items frequently weighing up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to be patient and have a guest-oriented mindset.
• Ability to maintain positive working relationships with all team members.
• Attention to cleanliness and safety procedures.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• 18+ age requirements for BOH positions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items with speed, accuracy, and consistency.
• Set up, stock, and maintain your assigned station throughout service.

• Monitor food temperatures and follow all food safety standards.
• Properly label, store, and rotate all food items.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Support teammates and communicate effectively during service.
• Complete closing and cleaning checklists as assigned.
