Job summary

Torsap Thai Kitchen is seeking a kitchen team member to cook menu items to spec on grill, fryer, and flat-top during lunch, dinner, and weekend rushes. You will handle prep, keep tickets moving, and help with inventory while following safety standards.

We value a calm, organized approach, reliability, and a team-first attitude; training is provided, and a food handler certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain one).

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen experience preferred, but training available.
• Ability to stay calm and organized during rushes.
• Stand for full shifts and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance in a small crew.
• Team-first attitude; help with dishes or prep when needed.
• Food handler certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Cook menu items to spec on grill, fryer, and flat-top during lunch, dinner, and weekend rushes.
• Handle prep: portioning, breading, sauces, and stocking stations before service.
• Keep tickets moving and times consistent when the dining room and bar are both firing.
• Follow food safety, temp logs, and labeling standards; maintain a clean, organized station.
• Close out the kitchen — breakdown, sanitation, walk-in organization, and next-day prep list.
• Communicate with servers and bartenders on 86'd items, timing, and special requests.
• Help with inventory counts and flag low product before it runs out.
