Stonebridge in New Orleans, LA is seeking a Line Cook to prepare and cook food to hotel standards under the supervision of the Executive Chef. The role covers breakfast, lunch, dinner, banquets, and room service, ensuring consistency and safety.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree in culinary arts or 6 months to 1 year of related experience, Safe Serve certification, strong time management, and ability to work in a high‑pressure kitchen.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in culinary arts or equivalent, or 6 months to 1 year of related experience.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation methods for pantry items, sandwiches, salads and desserts.
• Safe Serve/Food Handler’s certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares ingredients for the shift before service begins.
• Operates the cooking station efficiently and safely according to hotel standards.
• Prepares food items according to designated recipes and quality standards.
• Maintains cleanliness and complies with food sanitation standards.
• Practices safe food handling, preparation, cooking and storage methods.
• Produces high-quality food focusing on pantry items, sandwiches, salads and desserts.
• Manages guest orders in a friendly and timely manner.
• Inspects all food visually before sending it from the kitchen.
• Ensures workspace is fully stocked and follows opening/closing procedures.
• Handles and stores all food items properly following safety standards.
• Prepares requisitions for supplies and food items as needed.
• Follows written or verbal instructions from the Chef or supervisor.
