Job summary

MCS in Burbank seeks a Line Cook to join a fast-paced kitchen featuring Guy Fieri and Mina concepts. You will prepare items per recipes, maintain stations, and work under high-pressure during peak hours.

The role requires 3+ years in line or prep cook roles, a Food Handler's Card, and solid knowledge of techniques, safety standards, and teamwork. Benefits include health/dental insurance and free employee meals. Candidates should be reliable, punctual, and able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Line Cook, Prep Cook, or similar role 3 years or more preferred.
• Solid understanding of classic cooking techniques and kitchen terminology.
• Ability to read and follow standardized recipes.
• Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner, following recipes and presentation specifications.
• Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., slicers, choppers, fryers, ovens, stovetops).
• Stock and maintain sufficient levels of products at assigned stations.
• Keep a clean and tidy workstation, adhering to all sanitation and food safety standards.
• Assist with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen
• Assist in prep work and receiving/storing deliveries as needed.
• Communicate effectively with the Chef, Sous Chef, and front-of-house staff.
• Handle high-pressure situations, including peak service hours, with professionalism and efficiency.
