Job summary

Corner Bakery Cafe is seeking a Hot Cook (Line Cook) to prepare items under the cafe manager's direction. Responsibilities include using ovens and stoves, cleaning produce, and assembling soups, salads, desserts, and beverages to spec within time limits.

Applicants should understand English, have a HS diploma or equivalent, and be able to pass CBC driver training and a MVR. Foodhandler/ServSafe certification is preferred; prior kitchen experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent is required or in progress.
• Ability to understand English (read/speak/write).
• Basic food safety knowledge and procedures to follow.
• Experience in food preparation facility preferred (3 months).

Responsibilities

• Uses oven and stove to prepare food.
• Cleans produce.
• Prepares food (soups, salads, desserts, beverages) to spec within time limits.
• Assists with deliveries and stocking ingredients.
• Deep cleaning and waste tracking.
• Maintains familiarity with current recipes and specs.
• Uses recipe builders to ensure consistency.
