Job summary

Ko-Kwel Casino Resort on Oregon's southern coast is seeking a line cook to turn the chef's vision into delicious, precisely prepared dishes on a busy line and pantry. You will follow recipes, master technique, and uphold high standards of quality and teamwork to create memorable dining experiences for guests.

Responsibilities include maintaining kitchen safety, proper food handling, plating accuracy, and supporting prep and stewarding tasks.

Qualifications

• Friendly and approachable attitude that helps guests and team feel welcome and cared for.
• One year prior experience as a full-service line cook preferred.
• Must obtain a current Food Handler's Card.
• Comfortable communicating clearly and positively with guests and teammates.
• Must pass and remain in compliance with background check and drug-free workplace policies.

Responsibilities

• Keep the space safe, clean, and friendly for guests and team; report safety concerns to the Safety Committee.
• Maintain proper par levels of food items in cooking areas for smooth service.
• Store and handle all products in compliance with Oregon Food Safety regulations.
• Execute chef-driven specials with precision and creativity.
• Cook menu items to order using grills, fryers, ovens, steam tables, and other equipment.
• Assist the expeditor in final plating to ensure presentation standards.
• Maintain sanitary workstation and kitchen cleanliness during and after shifts.
• Support stewarding functions to contribute to kitchen cleanliness.
• Assist with prep duties for the main kitchen as directed.
• Complete temperature logs and food transfer documentation accurately.
• Perform recipe conversions and adjustments as required.
• Maintain and clean all equipment in assigned stations.
• Prep, stock, and replenish items to support continuous service.
• Jump in where needed to support the team and keep things running smoothly.
