Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Line Cook to assist the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in delivering the dining program for the property, including restaurant, catering, and events. The role requires maintaining a clean, organized kitchen and training coworkers as needed.

You will follow safety standards, participate in all service types, handle prep and daily setup, and contribute to inventory and production efficiency while complying with hygiene norms.

Qualifications

• Critical thinking, problem solving, judgement and decision-making abilities are necessary.
• Ability to maintain positivity and diplomacy in a fast-paced environment.
• Possess strong interpersonal skills and is able to interact and communicate successfully to the residents and team.
• Possess the ability to be hands-on and work any kitchen position.

Responsibilities

• Works with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to deliver vibrant menus.
• Ensure all safety procedures are followed and the kitchen meets health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Basic cooking technique knowledge: Braising, Sautéing, Roasted, Grilling, Recipes, Ratio, Portion controls.
