Job summary

Whiskey Cake - La Cantera in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Line Cook to prepare food items according to recipes and times set by the Chef de Cuisine. Maintain high quality, safety, and sanitation while contributing to a collaborative kitchen team.

The role requires ability to read tickets, stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and hold a current Food Handler's Certification. E-Verify participation applies; medical insurance and 401k are offered after eligibility.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and understand tickets as they come through.
• Stand for long periods and lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Maintain a current Food Handler's Certification and practice proper sanitation procedures.
• We participate in the E-Verify program.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare food items according to prescribed recipes.
• Follow and maintain outlined cook times for all prepared items.
• Maintain the highest level of food quality obtainable.
• Receive and store all products according to local health regulations.
• Maintain a clean and safe kitchen and work environment.
• Follow all health and safety regulations and wear proper uniform.
• Operate and use kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Read and understand tickets, including modifications, and work with team to complete orders.
