Job summary

Highgate Hotels in Seattle seeks a Line Cook to prepare all food items from standardized recipes for Restaurants, Room Service, Employee Cafeteria and Banquets while upholding the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness, pre-shipping prep, station readiness, portioning and buffet presentation, and assisting across kitchen stations as needed; candidates must have culinary experience and be able to stand during long shifts.

Qualifications

• Culinary experience in a hotel or restaurant setting is required.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work flexible hours.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all storage areas.
• Complete necessary food and station preparation prior to opening to ensure timely service.
• Prepare and display buffet items according to hotel standards.
• Recognize quality standards in produce, seafood, dairy and meat products.
• Maintain sanitary kitchen environment and proper food handling.
• Assist in preparing foods for Banquets and Employee Cafeteria.
